Founded in 1862, Enzan Daikyujō is one of the oldest and most historically significant archery dojos in Japan. Located right next to Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto’s famous Gion district, this dojo has preserved its traditions of spirit and technique for over 160 years.This private experience invites you to step into that living heritage. As dusk settles over Kyoto, you’ll take up the bow in a calm, focused environment—an opportunity to connect deeply with Japanese culture.After learning the basics of kyūdō, you’ll move on to hands-on shooting with a traditional Japanese bow. This is a 60-minute fully private session, during which you are free to shoot as many arrows as you like.Designed especially for beginners, the program offers step-by-step guidance so even first-time participants can feel confident and at ease.
